LOW LATENCY — DANMAKU

Game Prototype / Visual Study
2024

Low Latency — Danmaku is an early-stage game prototype exploring the visual language and timing mechanics of Japanese bullet-hell arcade shooters from the 1990s and 2000s.

Developed from custom bullet-pattern systems and power-up mechanics, the project focuses on low-latency input response, dense pattern choreography, and high-speed visual clarity.

The prototype was shown in January 2024 as part of HYPERFUTURISM, presented as a playable study of movement, difficulty curves and arcade-era motion aesthetics.
